The ACDCForYou Inclusive Futures Traineeship is a comprehensive, person-centred 12-month open employment program designed specifically for job-seeking participants.

This traineeship is ideal for those who want to build skills, gain formal study, and achieve meaningful employment outcomes.

The program is accessible in metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote locations across VIC, NSW, QLD, ACT, SA, and TAS, ensuring participants can benefit wherever they live.

Graduates can apply for permanent part-time peer positions with ACDCForYou in administration, design & marketing, payroll & accounts, database management, employee experience, and intake & referrals.

Program Overview

Duration: 12 months, 8 - 15 hours per week (paid traineeship).

Support: Every participant is allocated an Employment Coach, providing tailored support at 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4 ratios.

Qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) in partnership with Apprenticeships Australia, RTO’s is supported by government skilled funding at no cost to the trainee. This is included for trainees to learn about the lived experience sector, embrace its values, and develop practical skills to empower them to work compassionately with vulnerable people (Please note this is not a support worker role).

Delivery: Virtual, supporting metro, regional, rural, and remote areas throughout VIC, NSW, QLD, ACT, SA, and TAS.

Volunteering: Trainees are encouraged to volunteer within their local community for a minimum of 2 hours each week.

Assessment: Course assessments are delivered verbally to remove barriers and ensure accessibility for all participants. Verbal assessments can also be delivered through technology platforms, enabling inclusive and flexible learning regardless of location or ability.

Skill Development for Employment and Life

Personal goal setting and action planning ensure every participant’s journey is meaningful and tailored to their aspirations.

Functional literacy and numeracy support addresses individual learning needs and builds foundational skills.

Job readiness training includes resume writing, interview preparation, workplace etiquette, and understanding of workplace rights and responsibilities.

Employment Streams: Participants elect their preferred stream-Employment Coach, Marketing & Design, Accounts & Payroll, Administration, Database Management, or Employee Onboarding-ensuring skill development is relevant and engaging.
