NDIS Employment Support

Our employment supports provide NDIS participants with 5 hours per week of structured supports, specifically designed to help them gain the attributes and skills needed for employment. The program is tailored to each participant’s goals, interests, and needs, creating a supportive and empowering pathway towards work.

Participant Choice of Electives:
Participants are empowered to choose from a range of elective focus areas based on their interests and employment goals.  

Group-Based Activities & Peer Mentoring:
Collaborative projects and peer mentoring foster genuine friendships, build trust, and develop essential social and teamwork skills.

Workshops on Safe Relationships & Boundaries:
Sessions equip participants to form and maintain healthy, respectful relationships-vital for any workplace.

Community Engagement & Digital Literacy:
Regular community activities and online skills sessions help participants expand their networks, reduce isolation, and participate actively both in-person and online.

Daily Planning, Scheduling & Financial Literacy:
Support with routines, time management, budgeting, and financial decision-making builds independence and confidence for work and daily life.

Communication & Self-Advocacy Training:
Verbal and digital communication workshops, along with conflict resolution and teamwork exercises, prepare participants for positive interactions in the workplace and community.

Resume and Cover Letter Writing:

Guidance and practical sessions to help participants create effective job applications.

Interview Preparation:
Coaching and mock interviews to build confidence and skills for real-world job interviews.

Job Search Skills:
Training in finding, applying for, and following up on job opportunities.

Workplace Etiquette and Expectations:
Learning about professional behaviour, punctuality, dress codes, and workplace culture.

On-the-Job Support:
Ongoing support to help participants settle into new roles, address challenges, and sustain employment.

All supports are mapped to NDIS Core and Capacity Building outcomes, and participants receive regular progress reviews. By offering choice, practical skill-building, and targeted employment supports, the Inclusive Futures Initiative helps participants prepare for, find, and thrive in meaningful employment.
