ACDCForYou delivers a fully virtual, neurodiversity‑affirming supported employment program for young people aged 15–30 across Australia. Employees work one day per week, choosing Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, from 11:00am – 3:00pm AEDT.

Each workday blends structured learning, digital marketing practice, creativity, coaching, and professional skill development. Employees are supported throughout the session by specialist disability coaches and marketing mentors.

Daily Structure

Before 11:00am – Preparing for Work

Employees are expected to:

  • Wake up with enough time to prepare for work

  • Set up their home workstation or preferred virtual workspace (home, library, community room)

  • Join the Microsoft Teams meeting by 10:55am

  • Ensure their camera is on for all work periods

  • Be in a calm, ready‑to‑work mindset

  • Have access to required tools: laptop, charger, Teams, Canva, and weekly materials

11:00am – 12:10pm

Weekly Learning & Content Study

This is the structured learning block facilitated by coaching staff.

Employees will:

  • Begin the weekly content module (digital marketing, branding, design theory, communication skills, or professional development)

  • Participate in guided discussions

  • Engage with coaches and peers

  • Demonstrate understanding of the weekly learning outcomes

  • Build confidence in workplace communication and creative thinking

Expectation: Active participation, camera on, respectful engagement, and contribution to group learning.

12:10pm – 12:30pm

Kahoot Recap Quiz

A short, interactive quiz designed to:

  • Reinforce the weekly content

  • Support memory retention

  • Encourage friendly competition

  • Build confidence in learning

Employees participate individually while reviewing key concepts.

12:30pm – 1:00pm

Sensory Break (Lunch) This break is designed to support regulation and comfort.

Employees may:

  • Take a sensory break

  • Eat lunch

  • Stretch, reset, decompress

  • Have camera off during this period

  • Prepare for the afternoon work block

This time is intentionally structured to support wellbeing and reduce cognitive load before creative work begins.

1:00pm – 2:45pm

Digital Marketing & Creative Work

This is the core employment component.

Employees complete:

  • Digital marketing tasks

  • Weekly creative design projects

  • Branding exercises

  • Social media content creation

  • Canva‑based design work

  • Real marketing contributions for ACDCForYou’s public platforms

Marketing coaches provide:

  • Real‑time feedback

  • Creative guidance

  • Branding direction

  • Technical support

  • Professional development coaching

Employees learn to:

  • Balance creativity with brand consistency

  • Work to a brief

  • Meet weekly deliverables

  • Collaborate with coaches

  • Produce high‑quality digital assets

2:45pm – 2:50pm

Recap for Employees:

  • Review the day’s achievements

  • Save or submit their work

  • Receive final feedback

  • Log off by 2:50pm

Program Expectations for Employees

  • Attend one scheduled workday per week (Mon/Tue/Thu)

  • Camera on for all work periods except sensory break (where practical)

  • Engage respectfully with coaches and peers

  • Complete weekly marketing learning and digital design tasks

  • Communicate absences via WhatsApp group and email

  • Use Xero Me for timesheets and leave

  • Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching
